I wanted a challenge that would be new to me, and would push me to do something out of the ordinary. If I'm asking people to donate, they need to see how important that cause is to me, and so I need to be doing something I would not normally do. I dislike being wet and HATE being cold. So, I will be doing a dip a day, through February, the coldest month in the Scottish Highlands. Outdoor swimming is popular here in the UK, especially with woman. I have watched friends with awe, as they delight in immersing themself in freezing water and hope this will help me discover a new way to experience my environment. I'm sure there is joy to be found amongst the ice.
All donations to this fundraiser support The Cairn Project's grants to girls-only outdoor education programs around the country.
