In 2005, the unimaginable happened. My mom, Anna, suffered a devastating ischemic stroke. It was so debilitating; she had total left side paralysis and was unable to speak. After fighting for nearly 3 months, she succumbed and God took her to be with him.
In hindsight, there were early signs, signs I wished I had known to pay attention to. This happens through education. Learn the warning signs of heart disease and stroke. Better yet, learn to live heart healthy.
This February 1st, give generously so that we can spread the word an educate more people about this silent killer. This February 1st:
WEAR RED for awareness.
GIVE for the mothers, sisters, daughters and friends that you can’t bear to live without.
