As many of you know, I joined a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization called Junior Council this year. Founded in 1988, Junior Council is comprised of young professionals in the Chicago area, dedicated to supporting the Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago's patient care mission of providing high quality healthcare to every child who needs it, regardless of their family's ability to pay. The Junior Council specifically raises funds for the Special Infectious Diseases Clinic, which includes the Pediatric & Adolescent HIV/AIDS Program.
This year we are trying to reach a goal of $245,000 to donate to the hospital in January...leave it to me to procrastinate until December to do my part of the fundraising...but here it is. I can't wait for 2018 to get more involved with this group, they truly do amazing things for these kids. By planning events every month to raise money to spending actual hours with the kids at the hospital making their stay more enjoyable. These kids are going thru so much and any little bit helps make a difference in their lives.
