Would you help a child in need of a Christmas present this year?
Please consider donating to our Angel Tree Campaign. All proceeds will go towards the purchasing of Christmas gifts for children within our foster care program. The holidays are always difficult for children in foster care, as they may not be able to enjoy time with specific family members or enjoy all of their usual traditions.
Currently, our Harrisburg location serves close to 100 children within the Dauphin County area. Each year, Families United Network does its best to provide gifts to our children for the holiday season and we need your help to make this the best holiday yet!
This year has been incredibly tough on the families we serve, due to job-loss, home-schooling, and COVID closures restricting their ability to enjoy their Summer, as usual. COVID-19 has also affected the ability for children to see their biological family members in person regularly as visitation was restricted to video chats due to the risk of exposure with in-person visitation. While we have all learned that video calls are better than no calls, we can also recognize that nothing replaces seeing family and friends in person.
As we approach the holiday season, we want to ensure that every child in our care has an extra memorable holiday. Our goal to raise $3,000 to purchase each child in our care a Christmas present to help brighten their holiday, remind them that they are loved, and spark a little extra joy in their lives.
So will you help us make this a memorable Christmas for those within our foster care program?
