After many years of health issues, Andrew laid down his sword and began his next adventure on February 6, 2019, in Surprise, AZ. Andrew now shines down on us in the sun and stars.
Born on May 10, 1946 in Queens, New York, he was a Mother's Day gift for his mom, Mildred and dad, Philip. For the journey home, his mom placed him in his sister Ellen's arms. Thus began a close and loving relationship that lasted until his death. Andrew grew up in Bronx, New York.
Andrew married Roni in 1968 and they had two beautiful and amazing children. In July 1976, Andrew moved his young family to Richardson, Texas. Rayna and Erik grew to be loving, caring, and successful like him. His pride in them was evident every day. In 1986 he married Judy, the love of his life. While they had no children together, they shared in the joy and tears of Rayna and Erik with love. Judy considers them the children of her heart.
Over the years, Andrew traveled the United States, Europe, and the Caribbean working in the high-end watch industry. But Texas was always home. He was very successful and made friends easily, retiring from the industry in 2005.
Andrew leaves behind his wife of 32 years, Judy; his children, Rayna, Erik and his wife, Malia; his sister, Ellen; his brother-in-law, Greg; his grandchildren Zachary, Ashley, Hudson, and Jolie; along with countless, loving friends. He will greatly missed by all.
In October, 2019, Andrew was diagnosed with cancer at the base of his tongue. While complications of his treatment took him from us, we know that the cancer began that journey and hope no one else ever has to face hand and neck cancer again. Please consider a donation of any amount to help fight this terrible cancer. Your generosity is appreciated beyond measure.
