For the past nine years, I have been lucky enough to be a counselor at Camp Rap-A-Hope. Camp Rap-A-Hope is a week-long summer camp for children between the ages of 7 and 17 who have, or have ever had, cancer. From horseback riding to ropes course, we work to give the campers a worry-free week full of fun, exciting, and unforgettable experiences. Camp week is by far my favorite week of the entire year. The fun starts the moment the campers arrive and the inspiration I gain from the strength of the campers is unmeasurable. We laugh, we dance, and we eat bacon! Camp Rap-A-Hope's programs are provided free of charge to the campers and their families, as cancer has been costly enough. Camp is funded through generous donations from individuals, businesses, and foundations across the U.S. It costs $500 to send one child to camp. Please help me "Bring Home the Bacon" for Camp RAH!
