Please watch Christina's Story to see how Infinite Family supports township teens that are striving to exit the poverty pipeline. We started working in Alexandra Township in 2008 and are one of the last non-profits still working deep inside this community.
Our Alexandra mentees consistently overcome the crushing poverty and violence that surround them to exceed all expectations for school and job success. For example, Elsina is now an electrical engineer - the only female engineer in her company! She now supports her mother, sister and extended family - each of our graduates supports up to 15 family members.
Video mentoring works but our program is at serious risk. While still committed to our work together, our corporate funders' have had to reduce and delay their support in response to business conditions in South Africa.
We need your help to Amp Up Alex to keep video mentoring strong. Today we ask you to help us raise $48,735 to push through until our next round of funding will be released.
$500 will sponsor a Net Buddy mentee & Video Mentor for one year.
$365 will provide a computer for Net Buddy mentees to connect with their Video Mentors.
$100 will provide one month of computer lab access for 35 students.
$50 will set up a workstation (desk, chair, cabling, wiring, etc.)
$25 will provide a headset for Net Buddy mentees to use during video conversations.
With your help, we will raise $33,735 to support our Net Buddy mentees and $15,000 to add a second story to our LaunchPad video mentoring computer lab. With a double-decker LaunchPad we can connect 400% more teens with life-changing Video Mentors of their own!
Please, help us Amp Up Alex by making a donation today. Thank you!
