The American Emerald Awards Foundation is raising support for their Center of Hope located on North Broad Street in Philadelphia,PA. We service adults with disabilities such as autism and down syndrome. Due to the needs in our communities as a result of the pandemic, we have extended our services to the homeless in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, and Delaware.
The Center is reopening the Day Program to provide Home and Community services, Respite Care, and Companionship which includes services such as:
+ hot breakfast and lunch
+ warm coats and shoes
+ indoor activities (movies and games, etc.)
+ job search and workforce readiness preparation
+ transportation to and from their homes as well as shopping
We would also like to thank Blue Soul Fine Dining for providing hot breakfast and lunches.
Your donations will allow us to provide:
+ roof repairs for the Center of Hope
+ new vans to transport the clients and homeless to and from the Center of Hope
+ PPE (personal protective equipment) for the staff, volunteers, clients, and homeless
+ handicap ramp for wheelchair bound participants
+ computers for job search and readiness services
During the COVID-19 shutdown, we also suffered from vandalism and theft.
Thank you for all your donations to support our mission!
Many Blessings, Nolbert Brown Jr., Founder
