Welcome to Amanda’s fundraising page in support of She Can Tri!
In case you have not heard Amanda is competing in an IRONMAN in September - all 140.6 miles.
Worldwide only 20 percent of IRONMAN competitors are women making Amanda an official badass.
But why? We asked Amanda.
This journey to Ironman is one of self-discovery and finding the “real” me that has been hiding underneath so many life changes over the past 6 years. From divorce, moving, a new marriage, a blended family, leaving my stable career to pursue my own business, having that business fail, loss of friendships, being a stay at home mom...so many things have happened that I found myself getting through all of that to find that I didn’t really know who I was. So what better way to head into the big 3-0 than to go from only doing sprint triathlons to the BIG one to hear “You are an Ironman!” I will cross that finish line showing myself that I am strong, capable, disciplined & worthy.
She Can Tri
She Can Tri is dedicated to making sure young girls and women know their options.
Through education and mentorship we are changing perceptions, raising expectations, and leveling the playing field in male-dominated industries.
After all careers don't have a gender. Society does not define the rules, you do.
We want the current and next generation to push boundaries from the front lines to the C-suite.
All funds raised will help She Can Tri continue its mission.
She Can Tri operates in partnership with the Service Women's Action Network (SWAN), a 501(c)(3). SWAN supports, connects and advocates for military women.
Another way to help is to spread the word of She Can Tri.
