Boulder Karate fights... but not just bad guys!
As our 9th annual Climbing For Cancer fundraiser, Boulder Karate students, parents, and friends will be hiking one (or four!!) Colorado Fourteeners (mountains over 14,000') in an effort to raise money for this noble cause.
This year's mountains are... Mt. Democrat, Mt. Cameron, Mt. Lincoln, and Mt. Bross! We will be hiking on our fundraiser deadline: Saturday, August 3, 2019. The hike will take roughly 9 hours total round-trip, and we welcome any moderately strong hikers who want to join. Please contact us through Boulder Karate's website: www.boulderkarate.com.
11 years ago, Katrina Harrington (sister of Climbing For Cancer leader, Master Brad Randolph) was diagnosed with brain cancer. She has since fought her way back up to the top. She then went to school to become a Child Life Specialist, working in hospitals to encourage children who are going through traumatic health problems, like cancer. Master Randolph started our Climbs For Cancer because of the inspiration from Katrina.
