I'm practicing wellness (walking, gardening, wearing a mask/practicing social distancing) to Keep Coro Going because Coro Allegro is the only classical LGBTQ+ chorus in Boston and it fills an important niche. Coro has been my musical home since 1991!
PLEASE SPONSOR ME: This week all donations are matched up to $3000! Your donation will have double the impact!
"You'll never walk alone"
were the last words Boston's LGBTQ+ and allied classical chorus sang for a live audience this season in a concert honoring equality, freedom, and the service of all. As soloist Philip Lima said, “The whole program was an affirmation of our shared humanity. I was glad to be part of it.”
Coro was the first nonprofit in Boston to have a concert canceled due to the Coronavirus pandemic. The cascading cancellations that followed present a serious financial challenge to our sustainability.
Yet in the isolation of this pandemic, Coro’s mission of building bridges has never seemed so important. All over the world, we're seeing music's power to remind us of our shared humanity and lift up our communities in time of need.
Coro needs our help.
In times of crisis, it’s natural to reach out to family, friends, co-workers and even strangers to find the human connection that binds us. This month I would normally ask you to sponsor me in Boston's Walk for Music. Since we can't walk together this year, we are asking you to support a different kind of campaign.
Please sponsor my efforts to raise funds for Coro Allegro through May 31.
TOGETHER WE MOVE! In partnership with #GivingTuesdayNow, our Coro Family will walk, move, meditate, and make things happen for Coro Allegro. #ApartButTogether, #UnitedInAction
TOGETHER WE GIVE! Whether you can give $5, $50, or $500, our gifts together add up to make a difference.
While we can’t be together right now, we can still support each other's causes, make each other smile, and remind each other WE'LL NEVER WALK ALONE.
