For the last two years, Beazley colleagues Miles Foxworth and Larry Griffin have experienced success and sorrow at the annual 826-Chicago Scrabble for Cheaters fundraiser/tournament. Each year, Team Alternate Facts won the fundraising challenge ... but was unable to turn those many cheats into any trophies, suffering an embarassingly early exit in 2017 and a close loss in the finals in 2018.
This year, we are playing to win on both accounts. Beazley's Eric Rosenblum is stepping in for Miles (who has been exiled to Beazley Canada for remedial Scrabble training). Eric and Larry from Beazley will be joined by Mia Caballeros and Kelly Anderson from AON to form a "dream team" so dominant in all things trivia that we don't really need to cheats to win (but it couldn't hurt to have a few in hand, just in case the other teams decide to cheat).
Please help us support 826-Chi with a donation - and help us take home the big prize at Trivia for Cheaters 2019. We really appreciate your support!
826CHI is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting students ages 6 to 18 with their creative and expository writing skills, and to helping teachers inspire their students to write. Our services are structured around our understanding that great leaps in learning can happen with one-on-one attention, and that strong writing skills are fundamental to future success.
We encourage the exploration of endless possibility through the power of writing for students, for teachers, and for communities. We equip students with the skills to write their own paths forward, undefined by circumstance. We support teachers as they explore new and exciting approaches to teaching writing and inspiring student engagement. We foster generations of creative writers and thinkers, who together will define a better future.
