Here we go again!! Since 2014 I have been running the Falmouth Road Race each August. Each year, I have chosen to run for various charities. Even the year I broke my ankle, I was still eager to take part in the fundraising, as it is exciting to see the visible impact these efforts have on the community.
I’m so pleased to be running this year for Team ALS ONE for the second year in a row! I hope you will support me in the goal of helping end ALS forever!
Back in high school I did a research paper on ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig's Disease. I learned all about how this disease affects the nerves in the brain and spinal cord, how it seems to trap an individual in a weakening body, and how it does not yet have a cure or a treatment to slow the progression.**Diseases like ALS can have a devastating effect, but donations made towards researching ALS have had a visible impact** I was introduced to this incredible organization by a coworker (hey, Janice!) whose constant support and excitement for the growth of ALS ONE has inspired me to choose this charity AGAIN this year.Your donation the research of the unprecedented partnership of Dr. Merit Cudkowicz, Dr. Robert Brown, Dr. James Barry, Dr. Nazem Atassi, and Dr. Steven Perrin, to expedite their mission of finding a treatment or cure for ALS by the year 2020.
ALS ONE is simultaneously and your donation, in part, provides equipment such as lifts, chairs, wheelchairs, and other critical equipment needed that is often not covered by insurance. Your tax-deductible donation* funds lifesaving research, treatment and care — and would mean so much to someone fighting ALS. Please donate today.
