I am a triathlete training for my first Ironman triathlon at Ironman Louisville this October. I'm proud to say that I am also training and competing in honor of my cousin, Tony, who died from ALS about 5 years ago, leaving behind his young family.
Raising funds for ALS research adds depth and higher purpose to my training, so that the long hours spent in the pool or on the bike - which can seem selfish - can contribute to something larger than myself.
I recently graduated from Northwestern's Kellogg MBA program, and relocated with my husband and dog to Minneapolis to work at General Mills.
So far in 2018, I've competed in the Capital View Olympic Triathlon and Ironman Wisconsin 70.3 (both in Madison, WI), as well as several running events from 10k to half-marathon distance. In August I will race the Superiorman 70.3 Triathlon in Duluth, MN as part of my lead-up to Ironman Louisville in mid-October.
