Alli is a sweet, kind, and gentle soul. She has a silent, enduring will. When she was a child you could find her outside happily singing to herself. Every collection cup for any cause, whether it is for an animal or a child, captures her attention and tugs at her heart to contribute. Her nature has always been to give and to help in whatever way she can. Alli is now a teenage girl who loves face-masks, bath bombs, binge watching Netflix, and making slime. She is a fierce protector of children. Alli dreams of becoming a registered nurse to make a difference in people’s lives. However, the hopes for her future are currently in danger.
Tragically, Alli has experienced the most inhumane and incomprehensible violation of her innocence. Her innocence is lost and right now, so is she and so am I. Loving someone who has been through trauma is hard. I’m afraid of who she is becoming and where this life of pain will lead her without the proper therapy. Due to trauma, Alli has suffered from anxiety and depression. She has been through many types of therapy to help her deal with her past. Unfortunately, these programs have not worked. Recently, her situation has escalated to the point that I can no longer provide for her safety. She is in urgent need of intervention and help beyond what she has been receiving. To restore hope for her future she needs to undergo intensive, long-term therapy.
House of Hope Kansas City:
After a tireless search of facilities that seemed impossible to afford or gain admission for Alli, I finally came across House of Hope. House of Hope Kansas City is affiliated with the National House of Hope and uses a proven model, which has produced a high rate of completion nationwide. Their mission is to provide a parent-interactive, residential treatment home for girls 12-18 years old, with the ultimate goal of family restoration. Focusing on the family is what makes House of Hope different and successful. They work with teens and parents to restore family relationships through a Christian counseling program. I believe in my heart that this is the best place for her to recover. I know that it is possible to turn tragedy into triumph.

The House of Hope program averages between 12-14 months. The monthly tuition is $2,960. This includes housing, counseling, and education at Hope Academy. With scholarship funding, a portion of the overall cost would be reduced. The total balance for her to attend for 12 months will be $18,000. I cannot do this alone. Please know this is far beyond my comfort level to share the challenges that my daughter and I am in the midst of and to ask for the help that I need. But this is my daughter, and her life and future are on the line. I would not be making this request if I had not explored every other option. Although, it is deeply humbling to ask for this financial support. She is worth it. I invite you to help support her in having the future she deserves.
