ALL4ONE is the first cohort of entrepreneurs of Breakthrough Accelerator. We are leaders who are committed to creating a united world of abundance by being loving, impactful, and inspirational. In the process of working towards taking our businesses to the next level in this incubator, we believe that creating sustainable impact and meaningful change in our world starts with our youth. We invite you to support the Parris Foundation in their pursuit of nourishing and supporting our future generation of leaders.
The Parris Foundation Inc ("TPF") is dedicated to promoting educational opportunities and fostering awareness in science, technology, engineering and math ("STEM") among underserved youth in New York, NY (since 2009).
The S.T.E.M.ulating Minds program was launched in Summer 2012 to develop the pipeline of future STEM leaders by providing weekend enrichment, summer camp, tutoring, coaching and mentoring, and scholarships/grants. http://www.stemulatingminds.org/
Latest addition to our offerings... we are introducing the arts and we are adding music and media to serve more students AND to expand our program from STEM to STEAM!
WHAT do we do?
S.T.E.M.ulating Minds conducts three (3) sessions throughout the year. Sessions correspond to Fall, Spring and Summer.
Weekend Enrichment: Learning and enrichment activities for middle and high school students during the academic year (25 weeks: Fall – 10 weeks, Spring – 15 weeks).
STEM Camp: Learning and enrichment activities for middle and high school students during the summer (8 weeks).
Tutoring: After-school learning support available for middle and high school students during the academic year (Fall, Spring).
Coaching and Mentoring: Support available for high school students on an ad-hoc, as requested basis throughout the academic year and summer months.
Scholarships and Grants: Broad range of financial assistance to program scholars to support their STEM educational pursuits.
WHY do we need your support?
Because EVERY student has the right to learn! And when a student requires support to maximize that learning, then s/he gets to have that support no matter WHO s/he is or WHERE s/he is from.
WHO do we serve?
We serve students across New York City, targeting middle school as the entry point into our program. Middle school students of color and students in lower-income households are underperforming their majority peers in science and math.
Free/reduced priced meal eligibility = 86%
Hispanic/latinx = 48%. African-American/black = 45%.

HOW do we serve them?
Meet Students Where They Are: Using adaptive learning software as a tool, program staff ensures that each scholar is receiving a customized learning experience. Specifically, learning modalities are identified for each student and teaching style is adjusted based on student competencies.
Social and Emotional Learning Tools: Support and enhance student learning and classroom management.
Assessments: Administered before and after each session begins to identify learning means and ensure that learning outcomes are met.
Volunteers: Leverage in-classroom volunteers who have studied or taught STEM curricula or who work within the STEM industry.
