WEAR RED for awareness.
GIVE for the mothers, sisters, daughters and friends that you can’t bear to live without.
In January 2014 I started a fundraiser in my home hosting high tea for friends and family for the American Heart Association in memory of my mom, Alice Anton and to support GO Red for Women to increase women’s heart health awareness and to commit to better health . I have received overwhelming support over the years. We have donated $5264 in the last 7 years to the American Heart Association $591.00(2014) + $645.00(2015) + $665.00(2016) + $855(2017)+ $817(2018) + $825(2019) + $866(2020). Our goal this year to raise an additional $500.00.
My mom would have loved this day, using all her tea pots with both savery & sweet tastings but mostly enjoying a cup of tea and conversation with you.
"I can not sit and chat with you the way I'd really like to do. So, brew yourself a cup of tea. I'll think of you, you think of me" my mom loved that saying.
Tea has such wonderful health benefits: contains antioxidants, can contain less caffeine than coffee, can reduce the risk of heart attack and stroke, can help with weight loss, may protect your bones, keep your smile bright - lessen tooth decay, may boost your immune system, help battle cancer, soothe digestion and it's calorie free.
“A cup of tea shared with a friend is happiness tasted and time well spent!” – Anonymous.
I am so fortunate to have such kindness and loving support of family and friends in my life and it brings me comfort and great joy to share in a cup of tea with you and hear your thoughts.
Join me in enjoying, sharing thoughts and being apart of the group with a cup of tea, Life is so much better. Sit back at home and have a cup of tea and support GO RED projects with a monetary gift.
National Wear Red Day® — the first Friday in February (Feb 5th, 2021)— is our special day to bring attention to this silent killer of women. We encourage everyone to wear red, raise their voices, know their cardiovascular risk and take action to live longer, healthier lives.
