It's no surprise that music abounds in our home! Wayne's dad's guitar is resident in Cameron's room and Alex is just finishing up a college program specifically focused on music production. Music Heals is a group of music enthusiasts and music lovers who have come together to help raise awareness of the healing powers of music, increasing access to music therapy for patients in children's hospitals, seniors centers, palliative care, at-risk youth, rehabilitation, and bereavement support.
It's also no surprise that there is an abundance of motorcycles in our garage! Tying together our collective love for music AND motorcycles, Music Heals also supports an annual Music Therapy Ride. Since 2001, the Music Therapy Ride has raised more than $1 million enabling the delivery of 24 music therapy programs and the production of 11 Bandwagons—innovative mobile recording studios used by therapists at care facilities including B.C. Children’s Hospital, Ronald McDonald House and Canuck Place Children’s Hospice.
Our kids would love your support in using music and motorcycles as therapy!
