For 96 years, the heart of the Pass has been the Rotary Club of Pass Christian. After Hurricane Katrina’s impact, we built houses; purchased city vehicles, playground facilities, technological equipment for the library; and constructed the Dayton Robinson Scout Hut. The Rotary Club has continued to work hard for the Pass. Our recent projects include, supporting Pass Christian Boy Scout Troop 316 (a project started in 1926); providing over 160 local children in need with Christmas gifts; giving financial assistance to feed local citizens and school children through the Christian Concern Ministries, Gone Fishing Ministries, and PCHS Backpack Buddies and to feed school children in developing countries through Lunches for Learning; awarding scholarships to Pass Christian High School seniors and to students at the Pass Christian Boys’ and Girls’ Club; recognizing Pass Christian’s Outstanding Citizen, Outstanding City Employee, and Outstanding Educator; donating dictionaries to third graders at four area schools; honoring Pass Christian’s frontline workers with meals and gift certificates to local restaurants; donating funds for technological distance learning support of students in the Pass Christian School District during the pandemic; and supporting the Bertin Haiti Water Well and Community Health Clubs, a global humanitarian project.
Help us to continue our efforts in 2020-2021.
