Hi friends, families, and lovely souls! This summer I've been learning, growing and challenging myself as a part of the Seeding Change fellowship! Seeding Change is a national fellowship committed to training the next generation of activists and organizers who are invested in building power with our communities. As a part of the fellowship, I have been working at the Asian Pacific Environmental Network, an organization which believes that we all have the right to a safe, clean and healthy environment.
I've been able to meet fantastic people through Seeding Change who are committed to our movements for justice and are activiely imagining what a more equitable future could be. I'm grateful to have the chance to build connections with folx from my generation and with people who have been doing this work for some time now. I've been lucky to share stories and laughter with all of these awesome people who are doing such meaningful work.
Working at APEN, I've also developed skills and practices for organizing and building power in our communities by learning about meaningful civic engagement and facilitating workshops for and with members. I am ending this summer confident in our collective ability to make change and more sure of my place in this movement for justice.
There is a beautiful community of creative, passionate activists who have made Seeding Change their home. Together we are sharing our dreams about what a more just world could look like, and taking the steps to bring those dreams into existence.
Please support this amazing organization that has provided a space for young people to build their leadership for the past SIX years! Consider donating or sharing my page to support this work that is very dear to my heart. Feel free to message me with any questions you might have,
(Donations under $10 please send to my Venmo @Akash-Singh-7).
Thank you!! <3
