Hi! My name is Kelse Brown and I am currently a senior studying Agriscience Education at The Ohio State University! I will be graduating from Ohio State this spring and I’m about to embark on a an amazing journey to share my passion for agriculture. In August, I will be flying to West Africa to serve for a year with AgriCorps, a Peace Corps type 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that takes American college graduates of agriculture and places them in the developing world to teach agricultural education in schools and local communities. I heard about AgriCorps at club meetings during my undergraduate career, and always felt that it was something I wanted to do. As an Agriscience Education major, I have always had a passion for education as well as fighting global food insecurity. The more I learned about AgriCorps and their purpose, mission, and ideology, the more I felt compelled to become an AgriCorps Fellow. I’m reaching out to you for support as I raise $3,500 as part of my commitment of becoming an AgriCorps Fellow. This is a small amount compared to the $40,000 required to recruit, train, deploy, and support an AgriCorps Fellow. Through checks, cash and funds submitted, we can raise that amount together. Any donation will help towards spreading the message of AgriCorps to others around the world. Your donations supports me as I will teach Agriscience classes in Ghana as I embark on this journey in August of this year. It may be the class where everything clicks for a student and they embrace the idea of being an agricultural entrepreneur. Please feel free to give to this Crowdrise and to this amazing organization, or through sending check/money directly to me. If you are not sure about supporting this cause, visit visit: https://agricorps.org/ or AgriCorps on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram to see all of the wonderful things they are doing in Ghana and Liberia. If you’re unable to donate at this time, you can still support me by spreading the word so I reach my $3,500 goal by July 1. CrowdRise is easy to share on Facebook or Instagram, so please feel free to share my link or any of my upcoming posts. This will be the greatest journey of my life and I sincerely appreciate your time and help!
