Hi! My name is Justin Monroe and I am recently graduated from The Ohio State University with a degree in Agriculture Business and a minor in International Development! As many of you know, I served for six years in the United States Air Force, since I got out, I've felt something churning inside of me to do something more. I’m about to embark on a an amazing journey to share my passion for agriculture. In August, I will be flying to Ghana in West Africa to serve for a year with AgriCorps, a Peace Corps type 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that takes American college graduates of agriculture and places them in the developing world to teach agricultural education in schools and local communities. I heard about AgriCorps at club meetings during my a career fair at OSU, and always felt that it was something I wanted to do. For as long as I can remember, I have always had a passion for agriculture as well as educating others about agriculture. The more I learned about AgriCorps and their purpose, mission, and ideology, the more I felt compelled to become an AgriCorps Fellow. I’m reaching out to you for support as I raise $3,500 as part of my commitment of becoming an AgriCorps Fellow. This is a small amount compared to the $40,000 required to recruit, train, deploy, and support an AgriCorps Fellow; however, most of us don’t have $3,500 lying around (at least I don’t). Through checks, cash and funds submitted, we can raise that amount together. Any donation will help towards spreading the message of AgriCorps to others around the world. Your donations supports me as I will teach Agriscience classes in Ghana or Liberia. It may be the class where everything clicks for a student and they embrace the idea of being an agricultural entrepreneur. Please feel free to give to this Crowdrise and to this amazing organization. If you are not sure about supporting this cause, visit visit: https://agricorps.org/ or AgriCorps on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram to see all of the wonderful things they are doing in Ghana and Liberia. If you’re unable to donate at this time, you can still support me by spreading the word so I reach my $3,500 goal by July 1. CrowdRise is easy to share on Facebook or Instagram, so please feel free to share my link or any of my upcoming posts. This will be the greatest journey of my life and I sincerely appreciate your time and help!
