In August, I will be leaving to Ghana to serve for a year with AgriCorps, a Peace Corps type 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that takes American college graduates and places them in developing countries to teach agricultural education in schools and local communities.
As an AgriCorps fellow, I will serve as an agriculture educator, an advisor to the 4-H club, and an Agricultural Extension Agent. I will work closely with teachers and farmers to collaborate on improved and possibly new agriculture practices, and to help fight the battle against global food scarcity.
Food scarcity is a major problem, especially in developing countries. Starvation kills a minimum of 9 million people a year and over 850 million people are malnourished in the world. AgriCorps goal is to make an impact to minimize this number and increase food security in areas such as Liberia and Ghana in Africa!
I’m reaching out to you for support as I raise $3,500 as part of my commitment as an AgriCorps Fellow. This number supports the current services AgriCorps provides to continue spreading agricultural education in both Liberia and Ghana. Your donations will help fight against hunger as well as increase food security in the many communities AgriCorps has partnered up with! Any amount is much appreciated!
An easy way to donate is through my link for Crowdrise:

I also do accept checks and cash as well!
Even if you are unable to donate, please spread the word or share this email so you can help reach my goal of $3,500! We can all make an impact together! :)
Sincerely,
Connor Lilles
