It Takes a Village To Raise A Child... We've all heard that phrase, but what does it truly mean? Simply put, raising a child is a communal effort. It takes a whole community of different people supporting and interacting with children for a child to experience, learn and grow in a safe environment.
At The Kids Clubs we are open for children ages 6-18 daily afterschool. We provide homework help, leadership activities, arts, snacks, health and physical programs/activities. To attend the Club a child must be a Club member. A membership is just $25 a year. No child is turned away for a family's inability to pay.
73% of our current members are living below poverty. It costs the Club $15 a day to serve a single child. It is only through the help of our "village" that our community can ensure our children will grow to be respectful, productive members of society.
