Nooristan Foundation has partnered with the Ghafoor Foundation, a registered nonprofit organization in Afghanistan, to raise funds with a goal to assist at least 250 vulnerable families with emergency food and supplies to assist as part of Covid-19 relief efforts. You can help families to improve their nutrition and health during the month of Ramadan, as they remain quarantined in very difficult circumstances, already facing insecurity and poverty.
For approximately $80 USD/family, your donation can provide the following food supplies:
Flour- 1 “Boojee” (50 Kg) 1750 Afs
Rice- 1 “Boojee” (24 Kg) 2200 Afs
Sugar- 1 Kg 45 Afs
Beans- 1 “Seir” (7 Kg) 900 Afs
Cooking Oil- 1 5 Lt Bottle 450 Afs
Powdered Milk- 1 Large Bottle 500 Afs
Onions- 1 “Chaarak” (2 Kg) 100 Afs
Potatoes- 1 “Chaarak” (2 Kg) 80 Afs

Donations will also be utilizied to assist with hygiene, so soap will be given out and face masks will be made by the women in the EmPower an Entrepreneur program, who are currently working in groups of 3 with sewing machines at home.
Photos and videos of the distribution will be shared with donors so that the impact of their donations can be seen.
