Pastor Yogesh Mudelige pastors a Christian church in a village outside of Ambalangoda, Sri Lanka. Mercyworks has partnered with him in ministry for the last 15 years since we met after the tsunami hit Sri Lanka in 2005. As a faithful servant of the Lord Jesus Christ he has faced many difficulties and much persecution ministering in this predominantly Buddhist area. But he desires to continue showing the love of Jesus to those that do not yet know Him. During this difficult time of the coronavirus pandemic people are quarantined and are not able to work and provide for their families. Pastor Yogesh would like to provide food for one month to every family in his village. He has calculated that $13,770 USD will feed these 515 families for one month. This comes to approximately $27 per family for one month of food. For many of us that is a small amount to pay to save a family from starvation or malnutrition! Please consider adopting one or more families to bless with food during this time. Thank you!
P.S. We are receiving requests from other partners around the world nearly every day. We want you to know that any funds received in excess of the amount needed by Pastor Yogesh will go to help others in need in these developing countries.
