Story

The Shepherd Center utilizes adaptive gaming across the Acquired Brain Injury and Spinal Cord Injury programs through our Assistive Technology and Recreation Therapy programs. eSports provides a unique opportunity for full inclusion as participation is not limited based on functional abilities, location, or age. As the eSports industry has grown, customization of equipment has become the norm. This customization allows for increased accessibility and inclusion for gamers of all abilities.

The Adaptive Gaming Series will be a collection of eSports events hosted by local organizations such as evolve and Axis Replay. Players and viewers will be able to participate in-person and online. We need your support to help make this a successful event benefiting an exciting and innovative cause! Your generosity will aid the research, development, and funding of equipment to further the use of adaptive gaming as part of therapy at Shepherd Center.
