I'm very proud to be participating and supporting this year's ACTIVE Charity Challenge, where we're raising funds for a fanstastic organization called "Kids in the Game", helping unpriviledged children get out there, stay active and keep playing their favorite sports.
By helping kids from low-income families register for after-school sports, participate in physical activity at school, and increase opportunities to be active; we are inspiring kids, families, schools, and communities to live healthy and active lives together.
Most of you remember the costs associated with being on a sports team when you were growing up. Not every kid or family can afford it out there, and on top of that, childhood obesity is on the rise at levels never seen before.
Over 63% of kids who don't participate in sports are unable due to financial constraints. I was one of the lucky ones growing up, and now it's my turn to help out those who aren't so lucky. Organized youth sports programs are proven to lead to:
- Better Academics
- Less Obesity
- Fewer Health Issues
- Better Conduct
- More Active Adults
Are you ready to help these kids? My personal goal for this team fundraiser is $500! Who will help us get there?
