Hello, my name is Eric and I am part of an environmental club at Adolfo Camarillo High School called Naturally Green. Every year we do a Go-Green Week celebration on the week of Earth Day to raise awareness about various environmental issues as well as invite local organizations to show off their environmental efforts to students and staff. This year, I am leading a committee devoted to raising awareness about elephant/rhino conservation efforts to counter the mass poaching that is threatening the survival of their species. I chose to start a fundraiser raising money and awareness for the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust (or DSWT). The DSWT is a great organization to donate to as they foster orphaned elephants, conduct anti-poaching efforts, do veterinary work, preserve land, and help improve schools and communities in Kenya through their community outreach program. Along with accepting donations, we will be also educating people about elephant/rhino conservation and how poaching is a problem that can be solved. Naturally Green is an award winning club with a great record of making a difference on and off school grounds. We are one of the most active and influential high school clubs around and we don't plan on slowing down anytime soon. A donation to this fundraiser is one step closer ending the mass slaughter of elephant and rhinos for their precious ivory. Please spread this to your family and friends, post this on social media, tell people at your work, anyway you can get the word out is great and much appreciated by me and the DSWT! #bekindtoelephants -use this hashtag when posting!
