Ace in the City is a community development organization investing in South Minneapolis, cultivating safe spaces where our neighbors feel and know that they belong.
Taking BIGGER STEPS toward belonging, our newest project finds us renovating over 7,500 square feet of unused church space in our neighborhood. Check out the video in the gallery below for a glimpse into the space!
Ace in the City has the imagination to dream what could be with a little creativity, collaboration and investment of time and resources because empty space serves no one well!
What once was empty will soon be maximized for the common good of our neighborhood as we will be renovating this space and converting it into a collaborative community center (including a dignified food market, mobile medical/dental services, job training, mental health support, and youth development).
We can do more together! Join us as we look to fundraise $30,000 to support our wellness initiatives and the kitchen renovation costs associated with our Center of Belonging project. Along with the dignified full-choice market that we will be creating in this space, our new kitchen will give us the opportunity to offer nutrition and wellness classes, manage our coffee social enterprise, and provide a fun cafe space for our neighbors and collaborators to work, eat and spend quality time together.
