We are anticipating a greater need to assist abandoned dogs and cats due to the high unemployment rate on top of the normal spring influx of unwanted litters. Please support our shelter. We need to rehire staff to get back to rescuing and funding is down due to the Pandemic.
Every day, our committed employees work hard to help abandoned, neglected and abused pets. Now, they need our help as much as the animals do. Our organization is committed to ensuring that our employees are able to maintain financial stability and provide day-to-day necessities for their families during the coronavirus crisis.
Most of the County shelters we assist are currently picking up only emergency cases and not strays as they too have needed to cut back. When the pandemic is finally under control, there is going to be a greater then normal need of rescue in order for the counties to avoid euthanasia.
During times of high unemployment, there are statistically more pets abused and abandoned. We need to be on the frontline and ready to help both people (via out community programs which provide supplies to help people keep their pets) and, pets who become homeless.
Due to the grave importance for social distancing, we needed to temporarily close our Thrift Shop which is a big source of support to our shelter. Donations are also down as we can not do fundraising events.
We kindly ask that you join us in supporting both pets in need and our dedicated employees. Your gift will help provide immediate financial support so we can rehire staff and get on with the important work of rescue.
