The Austin Book Arts Center
The Austin Book Arts Center (ABAC) is the only non-profit organization in Central Texas that promotes educational programs in the traditional book arts, including printing, bookbinding, and papermaking. ABAC formed in 2014 when a group of artists and craftspeople came together with a simple but powerful dream; to build a space where people of all ages and backgrounds could use their hands to express their creativity by learning to create bound objects of beauty.
The Central Texas community embraced our mission and ABAC has grown steadily over the last five years. In 2019, The Center relocated to a larger studio and began adding workshops, studio rental, and community outreach events.
