If you have spent any time with me then you know that half of the meetings and events I bike off to any given week have to do with the Asian American Resource Workshop. I cannot express deeply enough how important this organization is to me and so so many other Asian American organizers, activists and community members in Boston and beyond. This organization has been a landing space, a political home, and a source of inspiration and creativity for me for almost six years now. In just this last year AARW has grown our base of Vietnamese American young adults in Dorchester through DOT-I, built powerful curriculum and strong facilitators through the Sticky Rice Project, supported API media and mediamakers through BAAFF, told our diverse API stories through the Writers' Group, and deepened the skills of local API organizers through the Activist Training Institute. We are moving campaigns with partners across the City and State to fight displacement in all its form.
Join me in celebrating the Asian American Resource Workshop's 40th Anniversary this API Heritage month by making a meaningful contribution and/or sharing about our work. We need your help to continue to build local grassroots Asian American power today and as we look towards the next 40 years.
