I am a Michigan Wolverine and learned many of life's lessons from my Coach Bo Schembechler and his coaches. Coach Loyd Carr came to Michigan after I played and I always admired his presence and leadership. I was saddened as he lost his grandson Chad to pediatric brain cancer. I am a grandfather too and know how we love our grandchildren. I have begun to compete in triathlons over the past few years and and am competing in my first full Ironman event on September 30th in Chattanooga Tennessee. These are tough events. Swim 2.4 miles; bike 116 miles; run 26.2 miles. I'd like to dedicate my effort in Chad's memory and just as importantly raise money and awareness to support The ChadTough Foundation, funding research and raising awareness for Pediatric Brain Tumors with an emphasis on Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG). I promise to swim, bike and run ChadTough.
