The League School of the League Education and Treatment Center, (LETC), was the first special education/day treatment school in the U.S. to work with children who most professionals considered incapable of learning. We never accepted that prognosis. Today, we offer one of the most comprehensive education and day treatment programs for special needs children in New York State.
Special needs children need playgrounds:
Free play on a playground has proven to be therapeutic for children who have experienced the trauma of child abuse, neglect and broken homes by “playing out” those traumatic emotions.
Playgrounds offer opportunities to develop communication and social skills for children with Autism and other developmental delays.
Free play periods during the school day help hyperactive children with ADHD pay better attention to academics in the classroom.
Please donate now and help us build a playground for our kids.
We can give them the “Healing Power of Learning”... You can give them the “Healing Power of Play”.
The League School (of the League Education and Treatment Center) is a 501(C)3 non-profit charitable organization.
