Please join A New Leaf and make a difference! A New Leaf is a finalist for the USA Today Network A Community Thrives challenge grant.
We have the opportunity to earn a $100,000 grant for A New Leaf's proposed Neighborhood Economic Development Corporation (NEDCO) place-making project, focused on the public beautification and neighborhood stabilization of a three-mile stretch of Main Street in the City of Mesa, Arizona.
“Main Street in the Making” will enhance public spaces, walkability, small businesses, and create neighborhood connections through art and community involvement. In order to be eligible for this grant, A New Leaf must raise $6,000 by April 12 and we hope we can count on your donation!
A New Leaf was founded in 1971. The organization promotes the concepts of “growth, hope, change and new beginnings.” Throughout its existence, A New Leaf has remained committed to the mission of “Helping Families . . . Changing Lives.”
Last year A New Leaf served 32,424 individuals with resources, including homeless and domestic violence shelters with services, affordable housing solutions, youth services, foster care, counseling, financial literacy, neighborhood economic development, workforce support, early childhood development, and community services.
Our goal is to stop the cycle of poverty, domestic violence, and homelessness for the people we serve and for future generations.
You can learn more about A New Leaf at our website TurnaNewLeaf.org. Your donation helps us reach our initial $6,000 Crowdrise target, making us eligible to receive a grant of up to $100,000 through A Community Thrives, which will make a real difference for the vulnerable families and individuals that we serve. We invite you to join us. Thank you!
