Hello everyone. I know this is a very difficult time right now and so many people all over the world are suffering physically, emotionally and financially.
Misfits, Mutts and Meows has been asked by a fellow rescuer if we could give her some help by supporting this fundraiser. She has been rescuing for over 20 y ears on her own, using her own money. This has caused her to have a significant debt to a couple of vets in the Tulsa area. She has gotten a friend interested in helping her by transporting the animals to rescues in other states. Many go to Colorado. They have an application and licensing requirement to transport animals in that state with a $350 fee attached. Of course transporting requires gas, food and many other things depending whether its cats or dogs. They are greatly in need of help and we are trying to raise $6,000.00 to pay off the vet bills and for getting transport up and running. Without this help they will not be able to continue helping the animals. While the virus is not allowing them to transport at this time they will as soon as allowed and the transporter is able to get all her paper work in order. Meanwhile the animals need food, vetting, some need special food. And discounts at the vet are needed so the bill needs to be paid as she cannot afford to lose that.
Misfits has taken in and helped her with many cats and dogs over the years. Our adoptions are currently slow so we aren’t able to take in any to help at this time. All donations to this fundraiser will be handled by Misfits, Mutts and Meows only. This means we will be directly sending the funds to the necessary parties (veterinarians that are owed and transporter).
Please check out the photos and video of just a few of the many pets that have been helped.
When I saw the first pic of Belle, I told my friend she sent the wrong "After" pic. I knew she wasn't Belle. But my friend said the dog was Belle, after she had been treated for mange, parasites and other issues. You can tell the After pic is her by the shape of her head with the white stripe along her forehead and the shape of her body. The next one is a kitten, Sun Chaser. He had conjunctivitis so bad that both third eyelids were glued to his eyes along with other issues. The vet had to surgically fix his eyes. The next four pics are of Patty, a dog with chemical burns. The little puppy, Sydney, was found alone outside.Last are a mother cat and her litter.
