The John Taylor Babbitt Foundation (JTB) is an incredible foundation started in honor of John Babbitt. John was 16 when he passed away due to an undiagnosed heart condition. In his honor, John's parents started the JTB foundation which raises awareness for sudden cardiac death. The foundation also raises money for research into genetic factors leading to sudden cardiac death as well as to purchase Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) for schools and organizations. AEDs are machines used to shock the heart back into its normal rhythm, saving the lives of tens of thousands of people each year.
I have volunteered for JTB for the past four years and am continuously inspired by the Babbitt family's drive to create a more educated world when it comes to sudden cardiac arrest and to continue their son's legacy.
Please consider donating to this amazing cause that has impacted me and so many others very dearly.
