We're going local, baby!
This year I am wearing a dress a day, but not for the national Dressember campaign.
COVID-19 has hit anti-human trafficking survivors and organizations pretty hard locally. Human trafficking doesn't stop, but local fundraising has. Organizations on the ground doing the work to educated and advocate are struggling, and that means victim identification and victim services will also take a hit.
Because the need locally is growing, I decided to start a charity GoFundMe campaign, wearing a dress every day, to help LOCAL organizations. All the funds are being funneled through NC Stop Human Trafficking -- a nonprofit located in Farmville, N.C. -- and this year me wearing a dress every day will hopefully have an incredible local impact.
I hope you enjoy my dresses. I hope you enjoy my posts. I hope you make a donation, if you can. If you can't, that's OK, too. Thank you for going on this journey with me.
