The Arch Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, with a mission of providing support for caregivers of people with Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI). The Arch Foundation is launching a project to provide flowers and gift cards to people whose loved-ones have been admitted to Craig Hospital in Englewood, Colorado, for recovery from SCI. Heather Zoccali, founder of the Arch Foundation, and her family experienced a 2-month stay at Craig Hospital after an injury to her eldest son; she knows first-hand how seemingly little gestures, such as flowers and a gift card, can make a real difference. This program is the first step in what will become a vast network of support for caregivers of people who have suffered an SCI and/or TBI. The program will focus on three key activities: -Provide flowers and gift cards to caregivers to Craig Hospital patients and families once a month on a routine frequency. -Provide flowers and gift cards to a network of caregivers of people with SCI in Northern Colorado. These people have moved on from the initial chaos following the injury, are settling into their new life, yet still need support. - Provide once/month outing for caregivers. Outings and events are specifically designed for caregivers, giving individuals essential breaks to recharge both physically and emotionally, allowing them to continue to bring their best selves forward each day. Caregivers are often a forgotten piece in this situation, and must not only remain strong, healthy, and supportive for their loved one, but seek to continue to grow and thrive in their own life, pursuing their own dreams and goals. Your generous donations will help support day to day operations and adminstration, purchase flowers and gift card, and fund caregiver outings.
