No child should die from drowning. Nationally, drowning is the leading cause of death in the 1-4-year-old age group. Sadly, Florida’s rate is the highest in the U.S.
Aquatics is our business and AquaBliss Pool Services is passionate about drowning prevention. We are members of the NPDA, National Drowning Prevention Alliance. I created “Stitching for Swimming” where we repair swimming pool vacuum bags for a small fee and donate all the proceeds. Four years ago I started a campaign “A Buck A Pool” donating $1 for each pool per month. We have donated a grand total of $7,400 to the McGovern Foundation supporting and contributing to the following: S.P.U.D. (Students Preventing Unintentional Drownings); South Florida Water Safety Symposium, an annual community event of representatives from Monroe, Dade, Broward, Palm Beach, and Martin Counties; Lifeguard Certification Scholarships, swimming lessons, and the Broward County Drowning Prevention Task Force.
We are proud to have been recognized for the past three years as a Top 50 Pool & Spa Service Provider in the United States. An integral aspect of the consideration and award is Community Outreach. We would like to announce that this year we are ranked #1 in the Nation for Community Involvement. We have also been featured in an upcoming article in Aquatics International highlighting our passion for water safety and drowning prevention efforts.
This year our goal is to raise $10,000 for The McGovern Foundation. We are reaching out to our Customers, Vendors, and Manufacturers with the hope we can reach it!
A child, a family, a community, first responders, health care professionals are all victims of drownings.
Join our Team in the fight to prevent this tragedy!
