For the past few years, I have fought obsessions and compulsions, both mentally and physically. It eventually became so debilitating that it left me hospital-bound. It was in the troughs of this horrible anxiety disorder that I found my life's calling. While I have excessively utilized both therapy and pharmacological treatments that are currently available for OCD, I personally believe that there is still more work/research to be done. Now that I am finally becoming a healthier version of myself, I thought it might be time to start pursuing this giant passion of mine.
So, therefore, it would mean SO MUCH to me if you could help out! On Saturday, June 9th, I will be hosting a 1 Million Steps 4 OCD Walk. All funds raised will be given to the International Obsession Compulsive Disorder Foundation (IOCDF). In short, the foundation's main goals are to increase access to effective treatment, create an environment for individuals with OCD and the professionals that treat them, and to end the stigma surrounding mental health as a whole. You can read more about the rest of the IOCDF's amazing efforts on their website at, https://iocdf.org.
I am so grateful to have the opportunity to support a cause so close to my heart, and I will never be able to adequately express how thankful I am for your interest in supporting those with OCD. Remember, even if you aren't able to attend the event, any monetary donation is greatly appreciated.
