I am running the Chicago Marathon in 2019 for a few reasons:
-Most importantly, for my mother, Diana who is a proud breast cancer survivor.
-For my entire family, Alyssa, Diana, Steve, Jeff, and most importantly Madison (picture in profile to help donations).
-For my upcoming daughter, who will hopefully stay in Alyssa's womb until November 9th and not interfere with the Marathon...
-For Team Imerman Angels. Team Imerman Angels will have over 200 runners in the Chicago Marathon. It is by far our biggest fundraising event of the year. Imerman Angels provides personalized connections that enable one-on-one support among cancer fighters, survivors and caregivers. I would highly encourage looking at our website to learn more: https://imermanangels.org/. We do not try to cure cancer, just to make it a better place. Here also is a video of our executive director discussing the upcoming marathon: https://vimeo.com/360626167, which is also clickable in my profile.
As our founder, Jonny Imerman, said, "Imerman Angels was created based on the belief that no one should have to fight cancer alone or without critical support." If you yourself has gone through cancer or has a loved one who has, you know these are incredibly true words.
Yes, I am asking you for some money. Sheepish about it, but it's for one of the best causes, and each $350 that is raised provides enough capital for anyone impacted by cancer to be connected to a Mentor Angel. If you can donate even just $20 or $30 that will make a huge difference. For my parents, don't cheap out....much more than $20 or $30 ok....
I sincerely appreciate anything at all that you can donate.
With my love,
