I’m runnng the STOMP 5K in memory of my friend Emily and I’d love your help in raising some funds for the Chelsea Hutchison Foundation!
Emily was one of the sweetest people I ever had the privilege to know. I don’t think I ever saw her without a smile on her face. She had a passion for dance and lit up the stage every time she performed. I met her years ago at our ballet studio when she was one of my “ little girls”. As I grew up and moved on to other things in my life (college and boyond) I would return home to watch my Studio’s performance of the Nutcracker when ever I could. I vividly remember the year Emily was the role of Clara. She had matured so much and danced the part with beauty and grace! Last December I received the sad news that Emily had passed away suddenly due to SUDEP (Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy). Next week I will be wearing a tutu and though I will be running I hope to do it with the grace of a dancer in memory of her.
The Chelsea Hutchison Foundation was started to help raise awareness of epilepsy and SUDEP and to help provide families with life saving monitors and seizures dogs for loved ones struggling with this disease. I’m hoping to raise funds in Emily’s honor so that others will not have to endure the loss of a loved one. Please consider donating to this cause. Any amount is appreciated!
