I was a college student on Feb 16, 2013 and was visiting friends in Athens, GA when a senseless preventable crash upended my life! I was struck from behind as a pedestrian by a pickup truck and left on the pavement as the drunk driver sped away. I was not able to speak or move and underwent emergency brain surgery as the first step on my journey to recovery. This included intensive therapy and after 14 months I finally said my first word. Through determination and hard work I can now walk without my cane and I spend time sharing my story at MADD Georgia Victim Impact panels and other groups. My goal is to make an impact on drunk driving so this wont happen to others. Thank you for your support and donations!
