Henry & Cooper are running with their track team to raise money for the Park Slope Armory YMCA. Michael will even be joining them this year! They run their track practices out of this facility and are very lucky to have it right here in our neighborhood. They want to raise money to give back, the money raised helps send kids to camp this summer. Please help us reach our goal!
Park Slope Armory YMCA wrote: The 9th Annual PS 107 Family Fitness Fun Run is HERE! On January 27th, we will be running to benefit the Park Slope Armory Y’s Annual Campaign!
Aside from providing us with a world-class facility for gym and track, the Park Slope Armory YMCA makes a difference in Brooklyn neighborhoods from Park Slope to Coney Island where more than 48,000 people—including more than 17,000 youth—are engaged in activities designed to develop their fullest potential in spirit, mind, and body. The Park Slope Armory and Prospect Park Y offer a place for youth to learn, grow, and thrive, developing skills and values that lead to positive behaviors, better health, and educational achievement. In 2017, the Annual Campaign provided over 500 children with a safe and fun place to go through after school programming; helped local second graders learn to swim; gave over 1000 youth an amazing summer camp experience; and helped families in need access Y memberships they wouldn’t otherwise be able to afford. Over $232,000 was given to these amazing programs and more, and none of it would be possible without the generous support of people like you.
To get everyone inspired, here is what your running and donations can do....
$350 sends a kid to camp!
$250 provide one child 8-weeks of fun in the youth basketball league
$150 provides one child the chance to learn the joys of running in Track Class
$70 provides one week of ballet or theater classes for one child!
$20 provides an early childhood art class for one child!
Through the years our Fun Run has raised over $38,000! Please give generously, your donation makes real change for kids’ right here in our community!
