In order to support our growing needs, we have a goal of $100/cadet. (A tax receipt is issued upon your donation.) Given the pandemic, we have not been able to raise funds as we normally would through the generous donations from the community during our "tagging days". However, we still are running the cadet program virtually and wish to ensure the continued prosperity of our rockland air cadets once in-person training resumes.
Your donation helps provide youth from ages 12-18 with unique opportunities to gain valuable life and work skills such as teamwork, leadership and public speaking along with personal benefits of increased self-confidence, discipline, initiative and decision-making.
Cadets take part in many activities such as:
- Effective public speaking and Debate
- Sports & Fitness
- Survival training
- Aviation & Ground School
Your donation will help us with our financial "growing pains" such as ensuring we have access to a proper, centrally located training facility, equipment, and supplies, needed for this amazing youth program.
*** Given that the Jean-Marc Lalonde Arena has been temporarily shutdown from January to June 2021, we need to ensure the viability of the program and proper training location should the City of Clarence-Rockland decide to keep it closed indefinitely (your support in ensuring Jean-Marc Lalonde can resume operations after June 2021 as the only "community center" available to the youth in the area, is greatly appreciated ***
It is thanks to the contributions of the community of Clarence-Rockland, that the 832 Twillick Air Cadet squadron has been a positive influence for the youth in the community. We appreciate your support and look for us out in the community when our in-person operations are permitted to resume! For more information, please visit our website at 832aircadets.ca
