Please join the Afolabi Family and College Visions as we honor the memory of Kolajo on September 21st!!! Walk, run, or stroll with us and make a gift to continue Kolajo's powerful legacy.
This year is the 10th anniversary of the Kolajo Paul Afolabi College Success Program! Your gift will take us beyond a cumulative $50,000 given in memory of Kolajo to provide essential support for first-gen students. And, as we reach this big goal, the KSP is showing outstanding outcomes. For our class of 2019, a full 81% of CV students earned a degree within 6 years of college enrollment, compared to a 21% national 6-year graduation rate for low-income, first-gen students nationally!
We are so proud that the program named for Kolajo is realizing his vision! Every degree earned by a KSP Scholar is a victory for an individual, a family, and a community. For a new graduate like Ashan'ti, "Being the first in my family to graduate from college means so much to me. My mother has always wanted more for me than she had for herself, and getting a college education is only the first step! Graduating from college means that the possibilities for my future are endless. I am motivated to become a mentor to the younger generations in my family and to encourage them to take steps toward ensuring a successful future."
Thank you for supporting Ashan'ti and so many more Scholars!
