On Saturday, November 3rd I will be walking with friends, in the No Stomach for Cancer Walk in Colin Cooney’s childhood neighborhood to raise money for No Stomach for Cancer in his memory. Colin Cooney passed away from stomach cancer on March 2nd, 2013 at 49, 5 months after first noticeable symptoms and 4 months after diagnosis.
Colin was the kindest man I ever met. He was a safe, comforting place in a world that often feels mean. During his life he worked and volunteered with people with disabilites, was an excellent golfer and avid sports fan. He was loving and supportive to his family, friends and everyone he met. I wish he was still here. I wish he did not have to suffer what he did at the end of his life.
I want to to be a part of finding a cure and assisting others going through what Colin went through. No Stomach for Cancer funds research and supports and educates people with stomach cancer. Thank you to all who have walked with us and supported us for the past 5 years. We are grateful and I believe Colin would be too.
If you are not able to support us financially, maybe you could do a kind act in Colin's memory.
