Welcome to the 5th Annual Run for UASCJ fundraising page, benefiting the students of the Urban Assembly School for Criminal Justice. We are now in our 11th year and have graduated four classes, with our Class of 2017 achieving a 94% graduation rate, more than 20 points above the city average. Our alumnae can be found at many colleges across the northeast, including Barnard, Bryn Mawr, Columbia, Princeton, Rochester Institute of Technology, Smith, St. Lawrence, SUNYs, CUNYs, and other institutions.
This year is especially exciting as many in our first graduating class will be graduating from college! We can't wait to see the paths these amazing young women take. We are thrilled to be building our alumnae network, and now have multiple alumnae as crucial members of the UASCJ Advisory Board. Please help us continue to provide our young women with a well-rounded education and a network of support that is critical to their success. 100% of the funds we raise go to our students so that they can attend enrichment summer programs, apply to college and afford a college education. The exorbitant cost of a high-quality college education is overwhelming for our students, 94% of whom qualify for free/reduced lunch. Your financial support in the past has allowed us to disburse approximately $20K a year.
With much gratitude,
The UASCJ Advisory Board and Staff
